Product Details
The 36” Gas Open Burner/Griddle Top Restaurant Range - Challenger XL Series (C36-S-2B-24G-N) is a commercial natural gas-powered range with the legendary toughness and dependability of Wolf. The unit is constructed entirely of stainless steel to eliminate rust and corrosion, including front, sides, backriser and a lift-off high shelf. The range is finished with a welded aluminum frame to add to the structural integrity of the machine, and control knobs are made from a high temperature material to ensure the components remain cool to the touch and intact throughout years of professional use. This unit features 2 open top burners to the left of the range top which are made from heavy-duty cast iron and include lift-off heads for ease of cleaning. The burners in the back of the unit are slightly larger, thereby accommodating larger pots and pans as needed. The right surface of the range top is occupied by a 24” manual griddle fry top which is made from 7/8” polished steel. A baker’s depth oven supports the range top, which is porcelain-lined for better heat conduction.

Q: What size stock pot will the burners accommodate on this range?
A: The front burner on this 36” Gas Open Burner/Griddle Top Restaurant Range is 12" x 12.5" and the back burner measures 12" x 14.5", so you will be able to put any stock pot that is around 16" in diameter or less on the burner and still cook evenly. Of course, a larger stock pot, pan or skillet can be used but ensure that it is made of a material that conducts heat evenly to ensure proper heat distribution even without the direct flame.

"This is a very heavy duty stove and grill. I am glad I paid a little more for this product. The difference in the weight of the oven door shows just how well made this product is. Boy is it heavy and solid. I have not had this stove for more than a month but it seems to be great for daily heavy use. I would recommend spending a little more for this stove and getting quality over economy. I would have given this stove the highest rating but like I said, I have not owned it for very long and still need to see how it does over a longer period of time."
