In order to meet ENERGY STAR guidelines, high-temp door type dishwashers must have an idle rate of no more than 1000 Watts, an use no more than 0.95 gallons per rack . Qualifying low-temp door type dishwashers have a maximum idle rate of 600 W, and a maximum water usage rate of 1.18 gal/rack.
