Product Details

You’ve recently added a delicious bagel sandwich to your menu. It features the classic, irresistible combination of homemade dill cream cheese, crisp red onions, silky smoked salmon and tangy capers. But for some reason, it’s not selling like it should. This is one of the most timeless sandwiches ever sold, so what’s wrong with your variation? Oh, right. You serve your flavorful creation on two lumpy, unevenly toasted bagels because you’re using a toaster with narrow slots that make quick work of making your delicious dish look awful.

Next time you should use Waring’s Four-Compartment Pop-Up Toaster (WCT708). It has four extra-wide 1-3/8” slots allowing you to easily toast four sliced bagels (or pieces of thickly cut bread). It even has a self-centering bread rack, making it great for extra thinly sliced breads as well. The pull-out tray will catch all of the crumbs that fall inside this versatile light-duty toaster, making it ideal in a busy commercial kitchen.

Features

  • Self-centering bread rack
  • 4 extra-wide 1-3/8” slots
  • Chrome-plated steel construction
  • 3-foot long and plug included

Benefits

  • Pull out crumb tray slides out for easy crumb removal
  • Rotary dial is easy to grasp and easily adjusts browning, from extra light to dark golden brown
  • Extra-high lift control brings toast closer to the top of the toaster, making it easy to remove

Additional Considerations

  • Protected by Waring's one-year limited warranty

Customer Reviews

Four-Compartment Pop-Up Toaster is rated 4.25 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from As a former restaurant cook, I knew that a toaster that can actually brown toast in a reasonable amount of time does exist. I found myself screaming at my toaster because it took sooo LONG to brown. I was even visiting a friend in Barbados and in a 2nd world country, they actually had a toaster that beat current US home versions. After disappointingly purchasing and returning several other toasters, I can actually say that this light weight commercial toaster lives up to the claims. I give it 4.5 stars as it would not keep up with a $400 to $600 toaster. My search is now complete!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This toaster is a solid product. Toasts reasonably evenly and fairly fast. Separate controls for each pair of slices is nice. I'd like it quicker, which would take more heat, but 1875 Watts is about all you can do in a 120V unit. If you have a significant line waiting to use it, it would be too slow. The only other minor gripe would be the length of the slots. At 5 7/16" they're a bit short for the larger "slice and a half" loaves that now seem to permiate store shelves. They fit, but only with a bit of a push. Overall a nice unit and I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Waring toaster seems to be working very well. I have used it about twenty times since I received it. It works a lot better then the old one. Once you figuire out what setting to use it makes perfect toast. I had the old toaster for about 15 years, but it never made consistantly perfect toast. The toaster setting on my new Waring makes perfect toast. Time will tell if the Waring is going to last. I hope so, because it costs about five times what my old toaster did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just bought a second unit for my office. Excellent quality, even toasting, year after year. Easy to clean. Durable, well built and long lasting. Have had my first one for close to ten years now, and am still delighted with it on a daily basis. The construction exceeded my expectations. I anticipate that this toaster will last 50 years (just like in the old days!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This toaster was purchased for cafeteria use and the customers like the speed and functionality of the toaster. The only down side is that there isn't a cancel button to stop the cycle early though the levers move up smoothly to stop the cycle in the middle if necessary.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from practical and affordable We originally purchased 2 toasters. One toaster about 6 months later quit toasting on one side. We would have to ship it back to the manufacturer for repairs, that was disappointing, but we did purchase another of the same and it is working fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from simple and consistant Bought this last month after going through many non commercial toasters. Seems heavier and hopefully will last much longer. Also toasts faster.
