Q: Will this blender be able to handle blending ice and chopped frozen fruits?
A: The Waring 44 oz Commercial Nu-Blend Blender (BB185) can handle blending ice and chopped frozen fruits when used properly. In order to grate ice, you will need to add a small amount of liquid in with the ice or it will wear the blender down. Frozen fruit must be slightly thawed and also blended with some liquid in order to prevent wearing of the blade and motor.
