Product Details
Getting a pizza into an oven safely, quickly and effectively can oftentimes be just as difficult as making or baking a pizza. With that in mind, Update International offers its 16" x 18" Wooden Pizza Peel (WPP-1642), which will keep pizzas flying into the oven without making a mess or risking a burn. Pizzas may be built directly upon a wooden pizza peel and then placed into the oven without much hassle, as long as the peel is properly floured. This peel is constructed of 1/2”-thick rubber wood, which resists cracking and warping. It features a tapered design and a 24” smooth-finish wooden handle.

"This is the third and favorite wooden pizza peel I've owned. The length of the peel not only helps me reach the back of the oven from a safe distance but also adds to the decorative value when hanging it in the kitchen. It easily accommodates a 14"+ pizza. It seems built-to-last but I would not recommend cutting pizza on it. I wish the leading edge were a little thinner, but as far as wooden peels go I believe this is as good as it gets."

"I bought this as a gift for my parents since they just built a brick pizza oven. I also got it engraved, which worked out very nicely. The weight of the paddle was hefty (maybe 5-10 pounds), I think that is a good sign that the material is quality and solid. There's no finish on it, but the wood is smooth. I would recommend it. "

"Purchased this pizza peel to be used outside on a Kamado grill. The peel is constructed well, and it is the perfect size for making 16" pizza pies. The long handle size works well when sliding pizza on to the ceramic stone and remaining away from the heat. It is easy to slide under the pizza when removing pie."

"Nicely made woodcraft. It comes unfinished, so I coated mine with olive oil, looks great. Got this long size thinking It could easily be shortened, but have come to like it long.....plenty or leverage to handle heavy items. Blade is big enough to make a pizza as big as my oven."

"Excellent wooden peel for the price. Well made and attractive wood grain, especially after treating with butcher block oil. Has been used several times without any problems. The tapered end makes it easy to slide the skins off. Do not know how it would hold up under heavy use, but would recommend it to anyone for occasional use. "

"Basically, a pizza peel. A pizza peel that has no frills and does it's job. Don't even consider a "fancy" peel that won't take the heat. Simple, easy, and oh yeah... CHEAP!"
