A: This particular teapot (GNS-48) is used for serving tea rather than for heating it on the stovetop. The stainless steel will retain the heat of the water for a reasonable amount of time and the handle is designed to stay cool to the touch even after filled with hot water for service.

"We were immensely satisfied with this product. When my husbands parents came to visit they also fell in love with the teapot and so we gave it to them when they left. It has a great pour and the handle does not get hot. It hold enough for 2 cups for 2/3 people which is just what we wanted. We would highly recommend this Teapot!!! I have to buy another one!!!"
