40 Qt Aluminum Stock Pot is rated 4.5152 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The pot is ridiculously thick for it's weight and cost and works great for brewing beer. We use a bayou classic burner and the two items together heat 6 gallons of water within 15 minutes even during northeastern winters. Actually debating buying two more and a lid for one so I can convert them into a full brewing setup. The only negative is the handles get hot. To help hold the weight of the pot plus the liquid they are solid and riveted to the pot. Feel solid and strong, but they transfer heat so you'll need hot pads. I don't think I would want them changed though, as they are they feel like they will never break.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I don't actually use this for home cooking so I listed myself as "other." I homebrew beer with this, and as the kettle stands, it is a great kettle for homebrew. It's very thick so installing a ball valve was not an issue at all, and it heats up well. The only issue on my end is my stove is electric so it has a hard time heating to a boil, but up to that point it heats well. Despite some homebrew beliefs on aluminum issues, I've done my research and as long as you break in the kettle by boiling water in it the first time you use it to build up the oxide layer (black layer inside) you'll have p

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a nice heavy aluminum stock pot. I use it to brew beer. Just place the pot in your oven for 10 minutes at 350 to oxide it and it is good to go for beer. The pot heats up 6 gallons of water quickly. The handles will conduct heat so make sure you use pot holders. Make sure you use a plastic or nylon spoon as I used a stainless steel spoon and nicked the sides of the pot with it. Lesson learned. Overall a very nice stock pot for brewing beer. Would work well for other things too but that is not why I bought it. Very competitive price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just purchased this 10 gallon pot for brewing beer. I went on the reviews of others on here and boy am I glad I did. Outstanding pot! I can't get over how thick the material is. This pot is well made and heavy duty. The price is also mind blowing. I have been shopping around for a good brew pot for a while and they are expensive. This is the best deal I've come across, period. You will not find a better pot for this low price. The handles do get very hot, but that is to be expected since aluminum conducts heat so well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good 10-gal pot This is a well-built 10-gal aluminum pot, no more, no less. It is sturdy, well-built, and does its job. The pot is thicker at the top to provide extra strength but thicker at the bottom than I had anticipated. The handles are sturdy and solidly attached. My only complaint would be the lid, whose handle edges aren't very smooth. I use this pot for beer brewing, and drilled a hole in the side for a 1/2-inch port, which works with a weldless port exactly as expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very sturdy riveted handle, thick enough for even heat distribution I primarily use this for making beer, but it would work great as a stockpot, too. If you're using this at home and need to get more than 3-5 gallons of liquid to boiling temperatures, be sure you're stovetop is powerful enough - without the lid, mine will barely reach boiling even straddling two gas burners.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this 10-gallon pot for my beer home brewing. This is a great value and size for 5-gallon batches and brew in a bag method, since 7 to 8 gallons of water in the pot are needed. This leaves plenty of room for the grain displacement. Brew On!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I use this stock pot as a boil kettle for homebrewing. It performs well enough on the propane burner to do a vigorous full wort boil for my 6 gallon batches, and it is easy to clean. Mine had a slight dent from shipping, but this does not impact the performance of the product. It has a very even heat distribution. And since it's aluminum it will be simple to add a spigot later. Great kettle for the price.
