Editorial Review
A Very Good Machine, But Not Cheap
By Rob, FSW Product Expert
Review Date: 6/18/2009
This is a very good product for any establishment where people need to see the food. Small, independent grocery stores love them because they provide a visual stimulus for their unique products that promotes the upsell. The top mount compressor makes for a much easier clean, and is particularly good for high volume traffic areas or very dusty areas. If you are in the desert, you will definitely want a top mount compressor because dust gets trapped easily in the bottom mounts making cleaning a complete pain. The best part about these machines is the customer service at True. The people there will jump through hoops to help customers out and get them the exact specifications they need. That being said, these units tend to have a fairly long lead time, of about 4-5 business days minimum. The biggest drawback is the price, it is higher than other, comparable units, and you are basically paying for the True name recognition. However, these are American made, so some will consider it worth the extra cost to support US business. All in all, these are good units, and I’ve never had a complaint.
