Q: Is this a charcoal hibachi or must I use wood chips? Does the base get too hot during use to be safely placed on a tabletop?
A: This Town Food Equipment Die Cast Aluminum Dragon Hibachi (51336) is made to be used with Sterno-type fuel. However, it can be used with charcoal. Wood chips are not recommended because they will not hold and transfer the amount of heat desired with a hibachi. It is safe for placing on the tabletop because the base is separate from where the fuel is.
