Q: Is this product made from one or two sheets of steel?
A: The 14" Hand-Hammered Steel Peking Wok (34734) from Town Food Equipment is a two-piece wok. The pan and the handle of the wok are welded together. However, the pan portion of the wok is made from a single sheet of steel.

"Exactly as expected for hand made wok. The handle is welded on with no flexing. The hammered steel wok is a good thickness and heats up fast. The carbon steel seasoned quickly and is not rusting between uses. I use an Ove glove for handling the metal handle as it does get hot."

"After an extensive research into woks on the internet, I decided to purchase the 14" Hand Hammered Steel Peking Wok. It was easy to perform the initial seasoning of the wok. I had my doubts that food wouldn't stick, but it doesn't. Meal preparation is very quick, due to the ability to cook with high heat. Clean up is painless, as you only use hot water. I'm so glad I didn't waste money on an expensive wok, as this one does a great job. I highly recommend it. "
