Q: I do not want a pan with a non-stick coating as I like the old fashioned way of greasing the pan with butter. Do these pans have a non-stick coating?
A: This Thunder Group 18" x 13" Aluminum Sheet Pan (ALSP1813) is not coated with a non-stick surface. It is simply the aluminum that will need to be greased.

"A very sturdy pan that will certainly survive even the most abusive kitchens, considering how we use them on our farm. We bought a couple dozen of these for use as seed starting trays. We use a handheld machine to make 3" blocks of compacted soil and peat directly on the baking pans and then continue use the pan to hold water during the germination process, and ultimately to transport the seedlings to the field. "I have used the sheet pans for baking cookies a number of times and have found them to be just what I wanted. The cookies didn't burn and were cooked just right. The pans were easy to clean. They did buckle a little at a very high heat (500 degrees) when I cooked tortilla chips, but did not stay that way after I took them out. I am very pleased with them."

"My company, Totally Bananas, manufactures and markets frozen chocolate-dipped banana treats. The process involves placement of peeled bananas into a blast freezer. In the past, we used 12x20 aluminum steam tray pans. These would easily bend, break, and were hard to clean due to creases in the metal. The ALSP1813 sheet pans have proven to be strong, easy to use, and easy to clean. They are highly recommended."

"The pans are the best size for our household oven and still large enough to accommodate many cookies per sheet. They stack well together making the most out of our limited storage area. The pans heat and cool quickly allowing an easy rotation for large baking sessions, and their light weight make them easy to handle."
