We purchased this pitcher to replace a simlar one that was all plastic. The all plastic model's ice core broke apart so I was pleased to find this model with a stainless steel ice core. We use it at the table during meals, it is well balanced, and keeps the water cold. It seems well made and durable. It also has a fill line so you won't have spillage when you add the ice core. Overall it is a well designed product.
