Stainless Steel Cookware

Stainless steel is a mixture of different metals and has the ability to resist corrosion. However, if the outer layer becomes scratched, even stainless steel can rust. When washing your stainless steel cookware, avoid abrasive chemicals and cleaning pads. Use only mild detergents and wash cloths, vinyl brushes or sponges. For tough, caked-on food, try filling the pan with water and bringing it to a boil to loosen up the grime.
