The Scotsman CU1526SA-1A is an incredibly popular machine for churches, fraternity houses, medium-sized companies, and meeting rooms. The reason they are so popular is becasue they make ice fast and produces the perfect amount of ice for any medium-sized group of people. Even though they do not have the most attractive design, these Scotsman ice machines are very versatile and will last a long time. If you assume that each person in your establishment will need between 1-2 pounds of ice, then this ice machine will easily serve 150-300 people on any given day. That's great for large meetings, sunday pancake breakfasts, fundraisers, or any other event with an organization. However, that will not be enough for high traffic restaurants or industrial shops. These ice machines have a few other perks, including a sliding door, which allows for easy access to the ice bin, and a computer that will alert you when something's wrong. These are just great all around machines.

"We are a school and the icemaker is used daily by athletic teams for water coolers when practicing and for teams that use the gym to play. We have found that the size (150 lbs. made daily and 80 lbs. holding capacity) works well with our school that has a population of 500 students. We have not had any trouble with the product, but have been using it only since the end of July."
