Hard Water is No Longer a Problem

Hard water can be a problem for ice machines. Even if it is filtered some minerals may still get through and coat the walls of your machine, and mineral deposits in the ice machine will decrease production capacity. Luckily, this ice machine has a water sensor that monitors the hardness of the incoming water and purges the entire machine every so often, based on the water quality. This purging dramatically reduces the amount of mineral deposits and decreases the frequency of cleaning. That's not to say you'll never have to clean this machine. You just have to do it less often, so still keep an eye out for that yellow light that lets you know it's time for a cleaning.
