Diners know that the meal is not free, but they will still sometimes cringe when the check comes. As a way to soften the blow, restaurants use guest check holders to show that they are a little more upscale than the corner diner that just leaves the downturned piece of paper on the table. On a basic level, guest check holders are all the same. They are all a single fold book with sleeves inside to hold the check and maybe an extra sleeve at top for credit cards. Most also have “Thank You” on the front cover in gold script lettering. However, there are subtle differences that will make the selection process a bit easier. The inner sleeves can be both the same material and color as the outer cover, or they can be clear plastic. The color can also be different, depending on the brand, to match further match your restaurant’s décor.
