Making pizza dough can be difficult or time consuming, especially for inexperienced employees. One of the hardest steps of making the dough is making it the right size for the pan. Some establishments simply roll out the dough, place a pan upside down atop it and cut the dough to size. Another option is to use a dough cutting ring. The dough cutting rings resemble a giant cookie cutter. They are round, constructed of stainless steel and have a handle in their center for easy use. Some establishments believe dough cutting rings are a necessity if you want to make deep-dish pizza. Since the dough is going to line the bottom of the pan, you will need it to be the precise size of the pan, and flipping the dish over on the uncut dough to outline the cut will still give you a little extra.
