Q: Does this Manitowoc unit have a water filter option?
A: This Manitowoc 90 Lb Self-Contained Half Cube Ice Machine from the Q 130 Series (QY-0134A) along with most other Mantiowoc models have an option for a water filter. The Mantiwoc Arcticture Water Filter (AR10000) can be used to filter incoming water so that ice is clean. In addition to the primary filter, a pre-filter (ARPRE) can also be used for places with dirty water in order to prolong the life of the primary filter. Q: Do the listed dimensions include the legs of the machine? If so, can the legs be removed to shorten the height? How tall is the ice machine without the legs?
A: The listed height for this Manitowoc 135 Lb Self-Contained Half Cube Ice Machine (QY-0134A) is 38 1/2", which does include the legs. The legs are six inches tall, so without them the unit would be 32 1/2" tall. However, the unit should not be placed directly on the floor so that water can drain properly. Shorter legs may be available, but it is important to check with your local code requirements.

"We have been using this ice machine for a few weeks now and so far, we are very pleased! The machine certainly produces a fantastic volume of high quality ice cubes. My only comment (more of an FYI than a complaint) is that the machine makes a fairly loud hissing noise when it starts producing. This wouldn't be a problem at all except that I installed it right behind the register where we take orders! A more ideal location would have been a kitchen or back room. But we're very happy overall - the machine is attractive, seems to be good quality, and most importantly, makes great ice cubes!"

"I needed to replace our ice machine for our Laboratory and contacted about 5 different vendors. I came across FoodServiceWarehouse.com. Not only was the customer service fantastic to work with, but free shipping from Colorado to Oregon. The ice machine arrived well packaged and no shipping damage at all!! We have an earlier model of this ice machine, but it is over 10 years old. We donated our old one to our community center as it is still working. This is a great ice machine for the price!"
