Q: Does this ice machine require a drain?
A: This ice machine, Manitowoc (QM-30A) - 52 Lb Self-Contained Cube Ice Machine - QM 30 Series, does require a drain to allow any melting ice to escape the holding bin. A standard floor drain is adequate, or an additional pump can be purchased which will pump the water into an existing wall drain. Q: Are the legs on the QM-30 ice machine detachable? If so, what is the height of the ice machine (in inches) without the legs on it?
A: Yes, the legs to this ice machine are detachable and the height of the ice machine after the legs are removed is 30" (the legs are 6" tall).

Q: Is it ok to install this unit under a counter without the legs, such as in a break room?
A: This Manitowoc 65 Lb Self-Contained Ice Machine from the QM 30 Series (QM-30A) may be able to be placed under a counter without the legs. The concern is the drainage of the machine. It will need to drain properly from the gravity drain and unless there is a floor drain in place nearby, it may require a sump pump.

Q: Does this product include a water filter, air filter, and the water filter cartiage, or do I have to buy them separatly?
A: The Manitowoc (QM-30A) - 65 Lb Self-Contained Cube Ice Machine - QM 30 Series does include the air filter, however the water filter and water filter cartridge will need to be purchased separately.

"Purchased this item to have ice at the lake house over weekends. Installed it in my boat house where the temperature natually gets pretty high in Texas. The box does not produce ice as stated. It produces approx 25% of what is stated and since the box is not very well insulated, it melts quickly. Not sure where I go to from here but this purchase was a total waste that I could not afford. I will state that it was shipped promptly and boxed great.
