Manitowoc Cleaning Systems

The Manitowoc cleaning system is known as the AuCS® Automatic Cleaning System. There are different versions of this system depending on the model of ice machine you own. In all systems, a cleaning agent is used to clean and control lime build-up and other mineral deposits, and a sanitizing agent helps prevent the growth of algae and other potentially harmful bacteria. All this is done automatically using electricity from the ice machine itself, regardless of whether the cleaning system is internally or externally mounted. The cleaning system is usually installed outside the machine, such as with the AuCS-SO, but the Manitowoc S-Series uses an internal cleaning system, the AuCS-SI.
