Utility carts are the Swiss army knife of kitchen transport. They can be used to take ingredients in to the restaurant from a delivery truck and taken to the appropriate storage area. They can be used to carry all of the bulk ingredients for a recipe to the food preparation area of the commercial kitchen, thus saving tons of time and energy. They can be used as bus carts on the front end of the restaurant; they just need to be loaded up with bus tubs beforehand. Remember that utility carts are just as much a part of your commercial kitchen as the plates. They need to be properly washed at the end of every shift to ensure that they do not spread bacteria to other parts of the kitchen.
