Stainless Steel Colanders

It may seem that a colander never needs washing since it is always submerged in water, but it pays to keep them clean as they will last longer and the produce washed in it will stay fresher. To wash a stainless steel colander, fill a sink or basin with warm water. Then using a soft sponge or cloth and dish soap, Wash both the interior and exterior of the colander thoroughly. Submerge the bowl into the clean water in the sink and then run it under flowing water. Make sure that there is no soap clinging to the holes before towel drying the colander and hanging it on a rack.
