Shelving

Restaurants and other food service operations often have limited space in the back of the house. To make the most of storage and preparation areas, it is important to utilize storage tools and accessories such as shelving. From tall shelving units to individual wall shelves, find what you need to properly organize your space.
Shelving is a fairly simple concept. Lifting items vertically and storing them on shelves against the wall or even mounted on the wall opens up space for food prep areas, walkways, sinks and other important things for the kitchen or storage area. When choosing shelving for your operation, consider the material type and design of the shelves. Choosing metal or wire shelving often makes for more stability because of the added weight of the metal material. Plastic is a great option for operations requiring something lightweight and easy to move but still well-built and strong. Think about what you will be storing on your shelves and if they will be able to handle anything of excessive weight or size. Consider length and depth as well as overall height, too.
