Getting the best pineapple is important as it is the flavor that automatically hits the customer’s taste buds. When picking pineapple, make sure the skin is a golden brown and not too green. Make sure the leaves are loose but not old and flaky. Next, lay the pineapple on its side and, using a serrated knife, slice off both the top and bottom. Place the fruit upright and then start cutting the peel off the pineapple.
To properly cut the skin off, cut behind the eyes, or small brown circles near the edge of the pineapple, so that the only thing left on the fruit is a golden yellow flesh of the fruit. Now, using the corer, push down through the middle of the pineapple and then remove the hard center. Once the thick middle is removed, you are free to cut or slice the pineapple whoever you see fit.
