Measuring Spoons

Leveling is the name of the game when measuring dry spices. Use the spoon to scoop out a little more than the desired amount on to the spoon, and then scrape off any of the excess using the back of a knife. Of course, with some spices, like cinnamon or dill, a little extra pinch won’t hurt anything, but when measuring items like baking powder or baking powder, it is critical to get the measurement accurate.
Pouring just a little liquid into a small measuring spoon can be a little bit of a problem every once in a while, that is why it is important to remember never to measure liquids out over the bowls you are using to make your recipe. If you accidentally over pour, all that liquid goes right into the bowl, and could potentially ruin a delicious food. Instead, measure out the liquid over a sink, with the bowl very nearby. If a few drops are spilt, they will simply go down the drain.
