Dunnage bridges are expandable aluminum shelving racks that can add an adjustable storage shelf between two other dunnage racks of the same manufacture’s product line. For instance, the DG1836 model fits precisely with the DR18 line of dunnage racks. Simple attach these bridges and create an extra shelf between your other racks for almost half the cost of buying another shelf. You can also purchase a heavy-duty dunnage shelf to put on the bottom tier of a shelving unit if you do not have the space for a separate dunnage rack. Because dunnage shelves are designed for loading hefty supplies on the bottom of the shelving unit, never attach the dunnage shelf to the top of the shelving unit. This could make it too unstable and dangerous.
