It is a good idea to check the weight calibration of your scales every day, whether at closing time or during the morning shift. This is especially important if you use these scales pretty heavily during the day. To do this, turn the scale on and make sure it is reading zero. If the tare is set to include the weight of a container, place the empty container on the scale to make sure it reads zero. If the scale is not set exactly to zero, press the tare button and it will automatically zero out the scale for you, ensuring that all your weights will be accurate throughout the day.
