Coffee Pots

Being used day in and day out, coffee pots can get fairly grimy especially considering the acidic and corrosive drink that they hold. Unwashed coffee pots can really affect the flavor of the coffee being served, so be sure that they are properly to keep the coffee tasting fresh. The process is done easily with some vinegar and hot water. Simply fill the pots with vinegar and let them soak overnight. This will loosen any of the stubborn burned on coffee stains.
Once the pots have sat overnight, dump out the vinegar and place the pots under the coffee machine. Fill up the machine’s tank with a mixture of 80% vinegar and 20% water. Turn on the machine (without any coffee grounds loaded) and let the machine heat up the vinegar and water mixture and fill up the coffee pot. Repeat this process one more time and then dump the vinegar into the sink then proceed to wash the pot out thoroughly with hot water and dish soap. Run regular water through the coffee machine to remove any of the vinegar residues.
