Griddles are a great way to feed the masses. If you have a range that does not have a griddle built into it, a cast iron griddles can cover up two burners and create a large space to cook large amounts of the same food. Cast iron conducts heat very well, so the food can be spread across the entire surface and be evenly cooked. Griddles are great for turning part of your stovetop into a griddle top. The amount of extra room it affords if fantastic. Use your griddle to make large batches of scrambled eggs, bacon or pancakes. It is perfect for serving up a large brunch or when peak times hit at a restaurant. Remember when cooking on a seasoned griddle not to use metal utensils like forks or knifes as they will scratch right through the seasoned layer and rust can begin to form on the bottom of the griddle, causing food to become contaminated.
