When your customers sit down at a table, many times they are brought bread with butter to snack on until their meal arrives. Most of the time the butter is merely wrapped pats, but you can use this opportunity to stand out from the rest of the competition by slicing your own fresh pats of butter or using molds to create unique pieces. One simple and quick way to impress patrons is to create custom made butter. It only takes a few extra minutes out of the day, yet it leaves a lasting impression. To create your own butter, let some normal store bought butter sit out to soften so it will be easier to work with. Once the butter is soft select the herb you would like to use in your butter. Is it being served with breakfast? Choose some cinnamon or nutmeg. For a nice flavor before dinner, add some roasted garlic and oregano into the mix. Now you are ready to shape the butter. You can simply mold it back into a rectangular shape and use a slicer to cut the slices. To create a really memorable experience, place the butter in butter molds with various patterns. Place them in the refrigerator for a bit, remove the butter from the molds and you’ve got butter that not only looks beautiful, but it will taste delicious as well.
