A bus boy’s task is one of the most critical to a restaurant. The tables must be quickly cleaned after one party leaves in order to prepare for the next. Our bus carts allow your bus boy to carry everything he needs in one trip. When clearing dirty tables, even if you use bus boxes, some water and food will find itself onto your cart. For that, all of our bus carts are constructed of easy to clean, corrosion resistant material, such as stainless steel. Just because stainless steel has stain and corrosion-resistant features does not mean that stainless steel should not be properly cared for each day. At the end of every shift, make sure that the bus carts are washed using warm, soapy water from caster to handle, making certain to get in the little nooks. It is important to wash the bus carts after every shift because there are certain acidic foods that can do a lot of damage to stainless steel if left to sit on the metal for too long. Acids from fruits or vinaigrettes can cause pitting and stains to form on the bus dolly. Remember never to clean off the cart with an abrasive material such as steel wool. It will scratch up the surface and finish and create areas that are no longer stain or rust resistant.
