Aluminum Casserole Pans
Nothing beats a warm casserole served hot to a customer with a little side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. Casseroles are a fairly easy to make dish that incorporates many different ingredients and flavors. Most of the time, the recipes call for the ingredients to be combined and popped into the oven, creating one of the most maintenance free dishes in a
restaurant. Casseroles are great and they make a great dish for patrons to take home and reheat as leftovers. They are a great savory dish and an American classic, but what’s not so great is the baked on grit that the food leaves behind on the pan. There are several ways to beat this grime, some before cooking, some after. For burn protection, before loading the ingredients into the pan, line it completely with foil. The metal liner will continue to conduct heat just as if the pan were unlined, but once the casserole has been eaten, simply lift the foil out of the pan and toss it away. To prevent the burned crust from sticking to the pan, try spraying a little cooking oil on the pan before spooning all of the ingredients into it. This may not prevent all of the burned on sections but it will limit them. To remove caked on debris, place the pan in hot water with a little bit of dish soap and let it sit overnight. The next day, the gunk should come right off the pan’s surface.
