End Grain Design John Boos has a line of end grain cutting boards that provide strength and durability not found elsewhere. The grain, being composed of fused end pieces of wood, runs in a horizontal pane. John Boos implements this design in a variety of shapes and sizes, allowing you to find one that works best for you. Edge Grain For a light cutting board, consider John Boos’ edge grain cutting boards. In these boards, the grain runs in a vertical pattern and is composed of glued narrow boards. These boards weigh less than others and continue to demonstrate the strength and durability found in the John Boos brand. John Boos Edge Grain Cutting Boards

John Boos (KNEB24S) - 1-1/4" Thick Reversible Gravy Groove (Lip) Maple Cutting Board
Kenneth - February 10, 2013
John Boos (KNEB24S)
The overall appearance is acceptable but not extraordinary. The thickness is 1 1/4 inches. One might prefer more thickness, but the board is already heavy enough to be a problem for small persons. The wood quality is ordinary but acceptable . The construction quality is good: no cracks, side pieces are firmly attached without cracks or wobble. The surfaces are sanded smooth and the edges are softened except for the juice groove which has edges which are a little too sharp.
John Boos (CCB24-S) - 4" Thick Maple Cutting Board

High-end, end-grain Boos Boards are the way to go in terms of value and longevity (only plastic lasts longer). Daily use and minimal maintenance of hard-rock maple combine to prove to this user the superiority of Boos Boards. Am looking forward to passing the 'board' on to my grandchildren.
John Boos (CCB15FR-ST) - 2-1/2" Thick Maple Cutting Board

We use this every day more than once for our Charcuterie platter and all of our guests love it. It is easy to maintain and still looks wonderful, almost like new. We suggest keeping it out of the water because water will make it swell, as with any wood.
