Kitchen wastebaskets are generally smaller and less durable than other types of trash cans. The larger ones are found on the cook line or in other areas of the kitchen and are used to collect food scraps and other kitchen waste. The smaller kitchen wastebaskets are usually seen behind the order counter, in the office or anywhere else that small amounts of waste are generated. Since these waste containers are used primarily for food scraps, be sure to line them with garbage bags that are thick enough to support the weight of a full bag of food. If the bas are too thin, they can tear easily and deposit all of the garbage on the kitchen floor.
