This bowl has bee hive textured on the outside. It is made from melamine, which can withstand heat up to 200 degrees Farenheit. It is not recommended for use in the oven or microwave.

This is a high quality product. Look and feel was very well represented in the pictures and description. It has a solid construction and material. I've recently made the transition from china to melamine. Looks and feel just like the heavier more brittle china. Will reorder soon.
