Q: Is the cooking surface plate removable for cleaning?
A: This Eurodib griddle doesn't have a removable surface plate. For general cleaning, we recommend scrapping excess grease and residue using a metal spatula while the griddle is still hot. After the surface has cooled, wipe it with a paper towel. For heavier cleaning, a small amount of white vinegar and water can be used with a fine griddle brick when the griddle is warm. Rinse the griddle with soapy water and wipe dry with paper towel. Apply peanut oil or vegetable oil after each cleaning for seasoning purposes.

Q: Is this unit safe adn suitable for a residential kitchen?
A: Yes, this Eurodib 25" Electric Griddle (SP04900-240) can be used in a residence as long as you have the proper electricity (208-240 volt and amperage) and ventilation. The griddle does emit grease-laden vapor while cooking so it is important to have somewhere for that vapor to go outside of your home.
