Water Filtration

Filtered water decreases the lime and slime build-up on a machine’s interior. Slime and lime build-up are the key contributors to foul tasting ice and machine failure. The water  filters should be changed every six months to assure proper filtration. Some ice manufacturers even offer an extended warranty program if you change the filter every month and can prove it to them.

The machine size will determine whether you need a one, two or three cartridge filtration system. Undercounter and smaller modular machines will only need a one-cartridge system. Mid-sized modular machines will need two cartridges, and three-filter systems should be used on large modular and remote condenser units.
