Wall-Mount Hand Sinks
Sort By:
Pedal operated wall-mounted hand sinks are gaining popularity on both the food safety and water conservation fronts. With hand-operated sinks, the user can inadvertently re-contaminate their hands when turning the water off. One way to combat this is to use a paper towel to turn the water off, but this is a hard habit to develop; it is very wasteful, too. Pedal operated sinks avoid this danger because the employee’s clean hands never touch a potentially dirty faucet knob again.
Pedal operated models also help conserve water. The water only turns on when the employee is present. When they walk away, their foot comes off the pedal, and the water flow stops. This has an obvious advantage to manual units that do not always get turned all the way off and electronic eye models that sometimes turn on whenever someone walks by, whether they wanted to wash their hands or not.
