Undercounter Flake Ice Machines

Undercounter machines range in height from 30” to 39” and are able to fit under most standard height counters, which are around 40” tall. Be sure to measure the counter height before selecting a machine, to make sure it will fit under your counter. It is also important to consider the placement of the undercounter machine. Any air vents, whether on the back or sides, need to be unobstructed to assure proper condenser cooling. A couple of inches of clearance is usually sufficient. If the air vents become blocked or dirty, the production will suffer, and the machine can break down.

The amount of flake ice needed every day depends on the application. Cocktail bars will want to have about two pounds of ice per customer on hand every day. Hospitals or sports teams that use the ice for cold wraps will need about four pounds per bag.
