Shredders that come with cone numbers 1-5 are able to shred, string, French fry cut, slice an crinkle cut. Cone numbers 1, 2 and 4 are able to shred, string and produce 1/8” thick slices. Another thing to consider is how the unit attaches to the countertop. Some have a suction cup base, others will clamp to the edge of the table. Clamp-on models are designed to be more of a permanent fixture since they are harder to remove and store each night.
