Roll In & Rack Refrigerators

Roll-in refrigerators are commonly used by bakeries and other foodservice establishments that prepare large quantities of food in advance and that have the need to quickly and easily roll out trays of food. These models are similar in function to standard reach-in refrigerators, but instead of including shelves, each has an interior that will hold a roll-in pan rack. When selecting the appropriate model for your needs, the interior dimensions are one of the most important specifications to look at. That measurement will tell you what size pan rack the unit will be able to hold. Roll-in refrigerators with multiple sections will fit the same size rack in each section. Pay attention to the specification sheets, as some units are deep enough to accept two racks end-to-end in each section.

Roll-in and rack refrigerators include a ramp for each section, so you can easily roll the racks into and out of the unit. Some models also include floor channels or grooves to guide the wheels and make the process of loading and unloading the refrigerator easier.
