Portable Propane Stoves

The overall power output (Total BTU) of the portable propane stove is an important consideration. The higher the BTU rating the more cooking power the stove has. Each stove comes with the necessary hoses and couplings to attach the burner to the fuel tank. Some units have a dial with markings that allow you to easily find the correct setting, but other just have a simple adjustable gas valve. For these portable stoves, you will have to adjust the flame height visually. Ideally, the flames are not shooting out beyond the edges of the pan, this is just wasting fuel and heat. You may need to purchase a gas connector kit to connect it to the liquid propane, or it may already come with such a kit.
