Portable Food Warmers

Portable food warmers have either one or two overhead heating bulbs or strips that are positioned about a foot above the base. At this distance, the optimum amount of heat is able to reach all of the food. Some units also have a heated bottom plate to increase the heating efficiency.

When searching for a unit to suit your needs, be sure to check the overall dimensions. This will let you now how much countertop space the unit will need. Luckily, if there is not enough space in the ideal spot, these items are portable, so you should be able to fine somewhere suitable. The total wattage indicates how much power or heat is generated by the unit. If you intend to place a large quantity of food under the bulbs, a higher wattage is suggested.
