Ice cream freezers can be either freestanding or drop into a countertop. For drop-in models, it is important to note what size your countertop cutout needs to be to accommodate the unit. Also, the height below the cutout will indicate how much space you need underneath. Cut-out models are usually used in establishments that just keep a one or two flavors on hand for use in milk shakes. They are not ideal for ice cream display.
