Glass Door Merchandisers

Number of doors, overall width and door opening style are three important specifications to consider when looking for a glass door merchandiser. You will also want to take a look at the number of shelves that are included in case your operation requires more.
The doors on glass door merchandisers can either swing or slide open. Both styles are usually self-closing to keep the as much refrigerated air in as possible. When choosing between the opening styles, keep in mind that sliding doors tend to decrease customer traffic congestion. However, swinging doors do allow you to hang racks on the door that contain essential condiments related to the contained products. The cabinet interior itself can be mildly customized with adjustable shelf guides. Usually each section comes with one to two shelves, but more are available if needed.

The number of doors each model has is related to the overall width. Units that are under 30 inches wide will have a single door. Two-door models range from 36 to 55 inches, and three-door cabinets are usually around 78 inches wide. When selecting a model, check the overall width or your available space and find the unit that is closest to filling that space, so you get your money’s worth.
