Conventional Microwaves

There are two different conventional microwave types to choose from, light- and heavy-duty. Light-duty units only put out about 1,000 to 1,500 watts of cooking power and have a stainless steel exterior. They can have a simple dial timer or programmable push-button controls. Light-duty models are ideal for kitchens with limited microwaving needs.

Heavy-duty conventional microwaves put out anywhere from 1,600 to 3,000 watts of cooking power. They are constructed of durable stainless steel both inside and out and have multiple keys that can be used to program cook times for specific foods and recipes. Heavy-duty models are designed for kitchens with high volume microwaving needs.
