High temperature door type dishwashers have a maximum idle rate of 1.0 kW and a maximum water consumption rate of .950 gal/rack in order to meet ENERGY STAR criteria. Low-temp door type dishwashers must have an idle rate of no more than 0.6 kW and use no more than 1.18 gallons of water per rack.
