Sugar Cane is a renewable resource created from the waste product of the industry. These bowls are designed to compost in a commercial facility in 45-60 days and are much stronger than styrofoam.
This product is made from a material called Bagasse. Bagasse is derived from sugarcane fibers which allow the product to be 100 percent biodegradable and compostable. After the cane juice is extracted from the plant, the stalk is ground up and made into a strudy paper pulp, called Bagasse. It will not abosorb liquids and is perfect for hot and cold foods.

"Used for Lenten soup suppers. I was able to reuse this bowl 3 times before it became noticable that the fibers were breaking down due to the heat of the soup and amount of time a liquid was in the bowl."
