Since their start in 1950, Doyon has had the goal of becoming the preferred supplier of high quality, top value baking equipment to the global foodservice community. Doyon has been a family-owned company from the time of its creation to the present day. Their mission is to meet and exceed customer expectations and become a leading developer of bakery equipment for foodservice establishments.
I have never encountered a customer service department as unhelpful and unresponsive as Doyon’s. I have emailed about a dozen times over the six years I’ve owned their equipment. I have gotten two or three responses back. A few years ago, they finally offered to have a service tech come look at some of the issues we were having. No one has ever come, of course. This month we are having to replace an original motor, and I requested some wiring information from Doyon. They sent me a picture of the top of the oven. No joke. I wrote back and explained again what I needed – in fact I pleaded with them to please provide with any kind of assistance. It has been over a week, and they have not even given me the courtesy of a return email. I strongly encourage all bakery owners and managers to steer clear of this company; based on my experiences, the low purchase price is far outweighed by the high cost of ownership and terrible customer service. Please contact me if you would like more information or have had a similar experience. I am always looking for fellow Doyon equipment owners in the hopes that we can share some workarounds and solutions — like my Grainger motor replacement on the rack oven. You can find me on Facebook, through our Serious Delights Bakery page. Thanks for reading.
We are happy with our new oven. One comment-The cookies in the middle of the sheet pans that are in the middle of the oven seem to get darker then the rest of the cookies.
Many of Doyon’s convection ovens feature a patented technology called Jet Air, which revolutionized the way convection ovens cook with hot air. Their technology allows for uniform cooking of the product, from muffins to French fries, without the worry of your food being ruined by the fast moving air. The fan automatically reverses after two and a half minutes to provide an even cook throughout the product without needing to turn the product. It also moves air at a lower speed to prevent spoiling the most delicate baked goods.
Doyon has researched and developed numerous varieties of ovens to make sure that their customers are able to get the exact equipment they need, but sometimes you have extra requirements. Many of Doyon’s pieces can be customized to meet your electrical specifications. The artisan deck ovens can even have the interior height adjusted to meet your needs.
