Wine bottle chillers are available in many varieties. Acrylic and stainless steel are the most common. The insulated sides of the chillers are the key to keeping the wine cool. A cold bottle placed into a wine chiller will retain its temperature much longer than if it were just left alone on the table top, but not as long as if it were placed in an ice bucket.
